Are you seeking a warm community of like-minded people to join you on a homeschooling adventure? Are you interested in a classical, Christian, traditional, restful, flexible family-centered approach to homeschool education?
If so, then you might be a great fit for one or more of the educational programs offered at Grace Academy. We are a vibrant community of adult and student learners united by a passion for truth, goodness, and beauty. While student learning is at the core of Grace Academy, parent-teacher education is also of great value to our community. Many Scholé groups choose to integrate parent education into their co-op activities on a regular basis and we are no exception.

Grace Academy is committed to a classical course of studies, a path that has been tried and proven since ancient times. The long tradition of classical Christian education has emphasized the seeking of truth, goodness, and beauty, as well as the study of the liberal arts and the great books. A classical education should be like a stroll through a garden of delight. As with any good walk, there may be digressions, but the main path—the key spots and visitations—should be known.
Grace anchors itself to the essentials of the Christian faith and maintains the still unsurpassed learning environment that is the teacher-guided classroom.
Grace Academy is united with other Scholé groups across the country through our pursuit of restfulness in learning, or scholé. The word scholé (pronounced skoh-LAY) comes from a Greek word that means “restful learning,” with the connotation of “contemplation,” “conversation,” and “reflection.” Ironically, it is also the basis for our English word school, which no longer holds for us these restful connotations. Programs offered at Grace Academy have been chosen for their adherence to the classical model of education, commitment to excellence, and deep engagement that results in enjoyable, permanent learning that is free from anxiety—that is, they seek to put the scholé back into (home) schools.
As a private school, Grace Academy has the flexibility to customize our standards and practices to our unique setting. Over the years, we have been able to expand or contract our program offerings and the number of enrollees as necessary. While Grace Academy has a significant amount of flexibility, we understand that guidance can be helpful for those who desire it! With this in mind, we provide support and resources for those seeking advice as they cultivate a home-centered educational lifestyle for their families.
THE PEACE, JOY, AND CONFIDENCE OF HOMESCHOOLING IN COMMUNITY
Grace families may organize events and/or rent space for social activities.
Our enrichment programs change on a regular basis depending on the needs of the students and the talents of the parent-teachers. Parents interested in developing programs may use Grace Academy classrooms.
Grace Academy has partnered with Highlands Latin School to bring our members a classical Christian cottage school designed to support homeschooling families utilizing the Memoria Press Core Curriculum. We are offering the Primary School (K-2) program for the 2019-2020 school year.
